Meggan LuxMeggan Marie Lux, Associate Principal, LEEDTM AP Meggan Lux is an Associate Principal at Urban Works, Ltd., an architecture, interiors and urban planning firm in Chicago, Illinois. Meggan received her Bachelor of Architecture and her Bachelor of Environmental Design from Ball State University. Her responsibilities include design direction, business development, and team staffing. Meggan serves as a team leader on the firms public sector projects and is the lead designer for several mixed-income housing projects that are part of the monumental transformation of Chicagos public housing developments currently underway by the Chicago Housing Authority. Westhaven Park, formerly Henry Horner Homes, consisted of 5 buildings that included 60 rental units and received a Chicago Neighborhood Development Award as well as a Multi-Family Executive Award in 2005. In addition, Meggan is a LEEDTM Accredited Professional and is responsible for green building initiatives within the office. Outside of the office Meggan is active in several professional development pursuits. Currently, she is the President for Chicago Women in Architecture and the Illinois Regional Associate Director to the American Institute of Architects. Meggans educational experience included traveling abroad to study architecture and the urban planning process in community-based settings. Her travels include Morocco, Australia, Tasmania, the United Kingdom and several European countries. |
