Miryam Rashid

Miryam Rashid is Interim Director of the Middle East Program for the Chicago office of the American Friends Service Committee. Miryam completed an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago. She has worked for over seven years in governmental and non-governmental organizations on educational and advocacy issues related to US policy towards the Middle East. She lived in the occupied Palestinian territories for five years. She has done extensive research and educational outreach on issues such as Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, the proliferation of settlements throughout the occupied territories, Jerusalem, and US policy in the region.
