Second annual Report Card on reform
Published in February 2007 and republished in March by Crain’s Chicago Business, the report card provided key data in five areas:
- School autonomy, the theme of the report card issue, including comparisons between charter schools and regular schools.
- Central officer operations aimed at giving schools more autonomy.
- School performance, including test score and dropout rate comparisons.
- New schools, including who is enrolling in Renaissance 2010 schools.
(Fewer than 2 percent of students from schools that were closed enrolled in Ren10 schools.)
