In fiscal year 2007, the Reporter’s work was mentioned in both mainstream and ethnic/community press, including:
- Coverage of our reporting on Chicago elections and the money and clout that shapes them on Chicago Public Radio and WVON AM-1450, Chicago’s premiere black talk radio station.
- Citations in the Tribune about our exclusive finding that the Chicago Housing Authority was years behind schedule in its redevelopment plan.
- A Los Angeles Times report on U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s work on the city’s far South Side which cited the Reporter's stories about the Altgeld Gardens public housing development from the 1980s.
