Catalyst Founder and Publisher Linda Lenz in among the first recipients of The ACI-Arne Duncan Awards for Educational Equity, sponsored by the Associated Colleges of the Midwest.
Other awardees are Linda Darling-Hammond, the Charles E. Ducommun Professor of Education at Stanford University; Barbara Eason-Watkins, Chief Education Officer of Chicago Public Schools (CPS); Ernesto Matias, Principal of Wells Community Academy; Maria Zavala, 2nd-grade bilingual teacher at Parks Cultural Studies Academy, in Joliet; Eliseo MArtinez, a North Central College senior majoring in music education. The awards are being inaugurated as ACI's Center for Success in High-Need Schools celebrates its fifth anniversary.
