MORE ABOUT US
Cassie Meyer
Cassie Meyer completed her Master's Degree at the University of Chicago Divinity School in June, 2005, where her work focused on American evangelicalism, twentieth century protestant responses to war, and liberation theologies. She currently teaches a class with Dr. Eboo Patel at Chicago Theological Seminary on interfaith action in the world.
At U of C, she and a group of progressive religious students brought activists, artists and religious leaders to campus to speak on the relationship between faith and justice, and worked to build an online forum to discuss faith, politics, and social justice. Her undergraduate degree, from Lawrence University, is in Religious Studies, focusing on Christianity and Islam. At Lawrence, Cassie planned and led worship for Lawrence Christian Fellowship, an ecumenical chapter of Intervarsity Fellowship, and is interested in worship that creatively draws from Christian history and traditions.
