La'keisha Gray-Sewell

La'keisha Gray-Sewell is a native Chicagoan. Her background involves work in the Communications field as a journalist, producer and media consultant. La'keisha's most notable endeavors include Executive Producer of WVON-AM midday programming; Editor and staff writer for WVON quarterly newsletter; Associate Producer of Walking on Sunshine (nominated for 2004 NAACP Image Award); producer/floor director of Mo Talks; and Chairperson of Media Relations for 2006 National Hip Hop Political Convention. She got her start in media while attending Southern Illinois University as Features Editor at The Daily Egyptian. Currently, she is working on an independent documentary on the history and rebuilding efforts of Pilgrim Baptist Church. La'Keisha is enjoying addressing social issues as a freelance journalist and member of National Association of Black Journalists. La'keisha is married with two children.
