The Community Renewal Society Future Summit is a high-level set of conversations between the region’s established and emerging leaders. The Summit is designed to achieve three key objectives:
Examine ways individuals and communities can put aside differences – real and perceived – to work collectively to address pressing social issues
Explore opportunities for institutional capacity building to ensure those in the trenches have adequate resources to carry out their work
Providing opportunities for participants to engage in relationship building and networking amongst peers and across generational, neighborhood, racial, ethnic and religious divides
Though the conversations will be intergenerational, the Summit will recognize the critical role that younger leaders can, must and do play in shaping the region’s future.
PANEL TOPICS
Black, Brown and Everything in Between: Breaking Down the Walls that Divide
White Allies: Connecting Beyond Race and Place
Faith Organizations, social justice and the new millenium
