Senior Action Network

The Community Renewal Society’s Senior Action Network (SAN) is a growing network of 23 metropolitan area congregations. SAN provides social, educational, advocacy and networking opportunities for senior adults. SAN is led by a Governing Council of representatives from each participating congregation that sets policy agendas and charts future directions for the organization.

SAN endeavors to assist senior adults in living longer, richer, fuller lives. SAN:

• Sponsors ten educational lunches each year that provide key information and valuable relationships across a host of issues and concerns
  
• Organizes seniors for effective advocacy on issues that impact their lives
  
• Assists churches in developing programs in their communities that include a range of activities, such as computer literacy and homeless services
  
• Connects diverse congregations with strategic partners to provide programs and establish relationships that will move agendas of interest to seniors
