Don Benedict Fund – Grant Application period open, 2018

Community Renewal Society is now accepting applications for grants from the Don Benedict Fund. The purpose of this fund is to honor the memory of former Executive Director Don Benedict by funding innovative pilot projects within Illinois which address a major urban issue effectively in a 3-5 year period. Priority will be given to projects within the Chicago metropolitan area.

Grant(s) will be presented at Community Renewal Society’s 135th Anniversary and Awards Celebration, Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chicago Teachers Union, 1901 West Carroll Avenue, Chicago. Grantees will be informed before the event.

Grant(s) will range from $2500-$15000, contingent on the project and the merits of the proposal.
