Advocacy Workshops

The Policy team offers educational workshops to help community leaders and advocates better understand our key issues, the state legislative process, and how to be an effective advocate. Legislators at local, state, and national levels of government listen to their constituents—they want, and need, to hear your perspective.

Justifying Justice in the Church

Time & Location TBD

“How is social justice compatible with the Holy Scriptures?” “How do we begin talking about justice in our congregation?”  These questions, and many others, often surface in the life of congregations. Whether small or large; urban, suburban, or rural; whatever racial or ethnic demographic most represented in the congregation, the question of why churches should engage in the work of justice is challenging to answer. Through an intense reflection and study of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Holy Trinity, and the Kingdom of God, ”Justifying Justice in the Church” aims to provide churches with a Scripturally-informed, theological foundation for understanding how justice work is critical to Christian life.

Presented by Rev. Saeed Richardson, Director of Policy, Saeed.Richardson@CommunityRenewalSociety.org
