Rev. Barbara Bolsen is vice president of Programs at The Night Ministry of Chicago, overseeing all agency programs, including outreach and mobile health, youth parenting support and the youth shelter network. She serves on the board of the Lakeview Action Coalition (LAC), which conducts grassroots community organizing on affordable housing, access to health care, and police misconduct against homeless youth. Prior to her work at The Night Ministry, Rev. Bolsen worked as a health care journalist. An ordained clergyperson in the United Church of Christ, Rev. Bolsen previously served as a volunteer chaplain at the AIDS Pastoral Care Network, as a member of the interreligious planning group for the 1999 Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions, on the Medill School of Journalism Alumni Board, and the Medscape.com Editorial Advisory Board. Current Board service includes LAC, the Urban CPE Consortium, and the Church Council of Epiphany UCC in Chicago.
