On Monday, January 16, join Community Renewal Society for our annual Martin Luther King Faith in Action Assembly at St. Mark United Methodist Church. As is our tradition, we will launch the CRS Platform for Renewal and enthusiastically embrace a call to action.
This year, racial justice must be a central priority. Racism has infected the politics of the nation. Racism has corrupted the criminal justice system and mechanisms for police accountability. Racism has destroyed economic equity.
This year, we will also feature a panel of noted experts to offer us analysis and action steps that empower us to address racism. We will lament racism. We will call for congregations and individuals to commit to conversations on racism.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. titled his last book, "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?" Let us choose community over chaos.
