Minister Ronald W. Howell

Minister Ronald W. Howell is Youth Minister at Metropolitan Community Church, where he has served in ministry for over 15 years, creating curriculums and implementing programming for youth activities and events, including a unique “Youth Worship Experience” at Metropolitan for ages 2-18, called MCC University.
His philosophy combines teaching young people both the Word of God and financial awareness at an early age. In his professional career, Minister Howell has an extensive background in finance, management, client services and sales.
His experience includes Rs-unix.com, where he served clients in Silicon Valley, and IBM’s Banking, Finance and Securities Division, where he served clients on Wall Street. Currently, Minister Howell owns/operates his own Day Trading Firm, Howell Capital Trading, where he is the Chief Trading Officer.
He founded an annual Back2School Giveaway, supplying backpacks and school supplies to youth in the Bronzeville area, a “There’s Thanks in Giving” holiday drive, and a Christmas Toy Drive that supports children at LaRabida Chidren’s Hospital. Minister Howell works with “Off the Pews Into the Streets: A Faith-based Community’s Response to Youth Violence,” teaching young people valuable money management skills that will empower them to confidently make smart decisions about their futures, and has served as a mentor to several Chicago Public School students.
Minister Howell is an active leader with Community Renewal Society, where, as a Board member, he serves as Treasurer, on the Budget & Finance Committee, Executive Committee, and chairs the Executive Director Search Committee. He previously served on the CRS Budget/Education Issue Team.
