SB 1379: Data Modernization for Fair, Accurate & Transparent Assessments

The House is considering SB 1379, a bill that will bring us much closer to achieving fair, accurate and transparent assessments. SB 1379 gives the Cook County Assessor’s Office the ability to collect Operating Income and Expense Data (the same as is shown on IRS Schedule E and already submitted to the Cook County Board of Review for property owners who appeal) for income-generating properties.

Please take a moment to file a witness slip in support of this legislation; file as a "Proponent" for SB 1379. Your witness slip can be filed as a record of appearance only as a proponent and does not require any write up.

The full text of the bill is available.
