Our 144th Annual Membership Assembly: Who Funds Freedom? (AMA) with keynote speaker Rev. Dr. John E. Jackson Sr. will gather CRS member congregations, community and coalition partners, organizers, and friends to reflect.

At AMA, we’ll look back at how the question we asked in January at our 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Faith in Action Training: Confronting Pharaoh—what faith requires of us in the face of injustice—became collective action throughout the year, following a tradition Dr. King modeled from the fight for voting rights to the Chicago Freedom Movement.

CRS has since worked alongside our Beloved Community to put that question into practice, examining where power lives, mobilizing around shared concerns, and pursuing solutions built to last. We’ll revisit the leadership cultivated within our congregations and communities and the ways we continued responding to evolving issues together.
