In Gary, Indiana, Black families have spent nearly two weeks waiting for the lights to come back on. With the call to pay attention, CRS has joined forces with Trinity United Church of Christ in Gary and their Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. John E. Jackson Sr.We invite you to join our Eyes on Gary Taskforce.

We want to mobilize to support the church in getting a generator. We are also planning a mission trip to support community assessment and rebuilding in Gary. 

Here's what you can do now:

  • Sign up using this form to volunteer for Service Day or to recruit volunteers. We need on-the-ground assessors, legal clinic support, donation hub support, and donated items from our community Wish List.

  • Click here to donate to our Gary Rapid Response Fund and help us purchase generators, solar lanterns, coolers, health kits, and other disaster recovery items.
