Join CRS at the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA)’s monthly public meeting. The parking lot is available.
Those unable to attend the meeting in-person can join virtually via Zoom.
At this meeting, the Commission will host presentations and discussions on key public safety topics, including:
A presentation from the Mayor’s Office of Community Safety on Chicago’s Summer Safety Plan
A presentation from Chicago Police Department (CPD) Chief Angel Novalez on CPD policies related to large gatherings, protests, and ICE activity
A discussion on traffic stop restrictions and related policy developments
The Commission allows for public comments at their monthly meetings. Each person will have up to two minutes to speak. A total of twenty minutes will be dedicated to public comment at each meeting. If you wish to speak during the virtual public comment period, kindly request to do so by reaching out to Community Commission staff by emailing CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org. Those wishing to speaking during the meeting must provide their name in writing to the Commission staff between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. If the number of interested speakers exceeds the time dedicated to public comment, speakers will be selected by a random drawing.
Written public comments may be submitted at the meeting or by emailing CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org in advance.
