Presentation from the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) on their Community Mediation Program (CMP)
Update on Traffic Stops Policy progress
Update on oversight and accountability of the Chicago Police Department’s (CDP) interactions with federal immigration enforcement
Vote to recommend that the Office of Inspector General (OIG) conduct research and/or an audit on CPD’s implementation of the Welcoming City Ordinance
Vote to authorize closed session meetings
The Commission allows for public comments at their monthly meetings. Each person will have up to two minutes to speak. A total of twenty minutes will be dedicated to public comment at each meeting. If you wish to speak during the virtual public comment period, kindly request to do so by reaching out to Community Commission staff by emailing CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org. Those wishing to speaking during the meeting must provide their name in writing to the Commission staff between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. If the number of interested speakers exceeds the time dedicated to public comment, speakers will be selected by a random drawing.
