At this month’s meeting, the Commission will hear from the Mayor’s Office and organizations working across Chicago to help keep communities safe this summer.
The conversation will focus on summer safety efforts impacting children, youth, and families, including violence prevention strategies, youth programming, available community resources, and ways residents and local organizations can work together to support safe neighborhoods.
Attendees will also learn about current initiatives happening across the city and opportunities to stay informed, connected, and involved throughout the summer months.
Speakers to be announced.
The Commission allows for public comments at their monthly meetings. Each person will have up to two minutes to speak. A total of twenty minutes will be dedicated to public comment at each meeting. If you wish to speak during the virtual public comment period, kindly request to do so by reaching out to Community Commission staff by emailing CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org. Those wishing to speaking during the meeting must provide their name in writing to the Commission staff between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. If the number of interested speakers exceeds the time dedicated to public comment, speakers will be selected by a random drawing.
