We know what keeps us safe: good schools, access to healthcare, well resourced communities, and restorative justice! In the Illinois legislature, conservatives are pushing to pass punitive, tough on crime policies in the upcoming legislative session. This is a threat to our movement and the policies we've won. Join us as we push back against racist policies focused on perpetuating the punishment systems that destabilize our communities. In January, the Illinois Network for Pretrial Justice will be hosting three text banking sessions to mobilize our communities to stop tough on crime legislation and to protect the Pretrial Fairness Act.
